SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, March 8, 2010, at White Deer Cemetery, with Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane, pastor of United Methodist Church of White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Caskey was born April 4, 1930 in Wheeler County to John and Ethel Keelin Gillenwater. She had been a resident of Pampa most of her life. She married William M. "Bill" Luster in 1946. She later married Wayne Caskey. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and taking care of her dogs.
SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Darell Luster and wife Lyn of White Deer, Larry Luster and wife Janice of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and David Luster of Pampa; a sister: Lois Calloway of Pampa; a brother: John Gillenwater and wife Karen of Childress; 6 grandchildren: Shelley Luster, Chris Luster, Michelle Luster, Sheila Anderson, Chelsea Resendiz, and Christyn Luster; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. LaVeta was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Gary Gillenwater; a sister: Louise Young; and a grandson: Bryan Luster.
