BIOGRAPHY: Mr. McDowell was born Sept. 21, 1951 in Pampa to Floyd and Betty McDowell and attended schools in Lefors. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1985. Danny married Connie Gage on Sept. 16, 1979. He worked for Phillips Petroleum for 25 years, for TDCJ for 10 years, and for Thurmond-McGlothlin for the past two years. He was an avid fisherman, and he loved his family.
SURVIVORS: Wife: Connie McDowell of the home; 3 sons: Danny McDowell and wife Amy JoAnne, Randy Alan McDowell and wife Pamela, and Justin Daniels, all of Pampa; 2 daughters: Rebecca Carpenter and Kattie Salazar and husband Abel, all of Pampa; a sister: Patricia McBee and husband Billy of Lefors; 6 grandchildren: Keenan O'Dell, Kameron O'Dell, Shelby Carpenter, Piper LaBombard, Leslie McDowell, and Jaden McDowell. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Candice Marie McDowell, a brother, Larry McDowell, and by his parents.
