SERVICES: 10:00 AM Thursday, November 11, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, in Pampa, Texas, with John Curry, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Freeman was born May 31, 1925 in Amarillo, Texas, the daughter of Joe D. Deason and Beulah Jenness Merchant Deason. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Pampa, where she also sang in the choir. She served as president of the Ladies Golf Association in Pampa as well as the Amarillo Garden Club. She was also a National Horticulture judge.SURVIVORS: son: Richard Dorman and wife Jenny of Yukon, Oklahoma; daughter: Janet Dorman of Carrollton, Texas; sister: Jacqueline Merchant Roberts and husband Cecil of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: Rebecca Phillips of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Richie Dorman and wife Dawn of Las Vegas, Nevada; great-grandchildren: Ashlie and Megan Dorman of Las Vegas, Nevada; several nieces and nephews. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Russell Carlton Freeman.
