Gordon Jack Addington

SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, August 29, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Addington was born October 12, 1931 in Algoa, Arkansas. He worked for many years as a butcher at local packing houses. He worked for Parsley's Roofing for over 15 years until his health began to fail. Gordon enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Kenneth Addington of Pampa, and Mike Addington and wife Lori of Houston; 3 daughters: Janet Addington Stone and Sonia Mulanax and husband Adam, all of Pampa, and Michelle Addington of Dallas; former wife: Betty Addington of Pampa; 3 sisters: Jo Ann Dixon and husband Robert of Pampa, Cladetta Laverty and husband Aaron of Mobeetie and Mary Lou Rogers of Vici, Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Loney and Bessie Addington; 2 brothers: Loyd and Jim Addington; and his best friend: Ronnie Parsley.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
