She married Gene McClendon on March 10, 1946 in Pearl, Texas. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1947. Helen had been a member of Central Baptist Church since 1947, where she taught Sunday School for 52 years.SURVIVORS: Husband: Gene McClendon of the home; 2 sons: Richard McClendon and wife Judy of Amarillo and Roy McClendon and wife Sheryl of Snyder; 2 daughters: Helen Fox and Ruth Baker and husband Kerry, all of Amarillo; 3 sisters: Earlene Bischoff of Houston, Ann Nell DeLord and Ruth Penny, both of Gatesville; 9 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.
