He married Betty Jane Powers on May 5, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. He had been a resident of Groom for over 40 years. He farmed and traded cattle in Groom for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Groom. He loved to play cards.SURVIVORS: Wife: Betty Treadwell of the home. 1 Son: Tony Treadwell & wife Mary of Groom. 4 Daughters: Pam Nicholson & husband L. R. of Canadian, Tonya Owens of Shamrock, Shelly Gray & husband Mike of Duncan, Oklahoma, and Jennifer Dobbs of Weatherford. 3 Brothers: David Treadwell of Kerrville, Shots Treadwell of Colorado City, and Bobby Treadwell of Canyon. 3 Sisters: Monett Jenkins of Miami, Laverne McDonald of New Jersey, and Lorene Jenkins of Amarillo. 12 Grandchildren, 17 Great-Grandchildren.
