SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, April 7, 2006, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Lynn Hancock, pastor of the Briarwood Full Gospel Church of Pampa, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Sawyer was born January 29, 1957 in Bay City, Texas. He had been a resident of Lefors since 1968, moving from Old Ocean, Texas. He was a 1975 graduate of Lefors High School and attended Western New Mexico University in Silver City, New Mexico on a football scholarship. He was a longtime Gray County rancher. He was a member of the Lefors Church of Christ, and attended the Briarwood Full Gospel Church in Pampa. SURVIVORS: 1 Son: Bradley Sawyer of Pampa. 1 Daughter: Sarai Elizabeth Henley of Lemore, California. Parents: Roy & Eddie Mae Sawyer of Lefors. 2 Sisters: Joy Reagan of San Antonio, and Jeanie Marie Piekarski of Milford, Ohio.
