SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 13, 2005, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Flaherty was born December 8, 1920 in Salina, Kansas. He had been a lifelong resident pf Pampa. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II. He was the owner and operator of a lawn and tree trimming service, a crossing guard at Austin Elementary School, and was a handyman at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church. He was a member of the V.F.W.SURVIVORS: 1 Sister: Viola McDonald of Hendricks, Oklahoma. 1 Great-Niece: Jeri Joiner & husband Warren of Pampa. A host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Margarette O'Hair Flaherty, 5 brothers, Norman, Don, Lawrence, Orvus & Francis, and 3 sisters, Ruth, Margarette & Pauline.MEMORIALS: VFW Post 1657, 105 S. Cuyler, Pampa, Texas 79065.
