SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003 at Miami Cemetery with Rev. Lance Wood, pastor of First Baptist Church of Miami, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Certain was born on April 26, 1928 in Miami and was a 1946 graduate of Amarillo High School. He worked for Allis-Chalmers Machinery in Amarillo, Memphis, Tennessee, and West Monroe, Louisiana for over 30 years. He was a Baptist and was founder of the Ouachita River Boating Association.SURVIVORS: Wife: Mollie Certain of the home; 1 daughter: Dana Barnes of West Monroe, LA; 1 son: Scott Certain of West Monroe, LA; 1 stepdaughter: Kelly Boyd of West Monroe, LA; 1 stepson: Lance Turner of Memphis, TN; 1 sister: Joyce Wilemon of Downey, CA; and 4 grandchildren.MEMORIALS: American Cancer Society or Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
