SERVICES: 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2002, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. John Valdez, pastor of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, officiating.
BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.
BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Velasquez was born February 4, 1936 in Robstown. She married Jose "Ray" Velasquez on May 17, 1971 in Paducah. She had been a longtime resident of Pampa, moving to Amarillo in 2000. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Amarillo, and she was a homemaker.SURVIVORS: Husband: Jose "Ray" Velasquez of the home; 1 son: Daniel Velasquez of Amarillo; 1 daughter: Susannah Castillo of Amarillo; 5 sisters, 1 brother, and 4 grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Holy Cross Catholic Academy, 4110 S. Bonham, Amarillo, TX 79110.
