LeRoi Ogden

SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor, and Rev. Robin Gantz, associate pastor, officiatingBURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Ogden was born April 7, 1929 in Duncan, Oklahoma. He received a BBA and an MBA from Texas Tech University. He moved to Pampa in 1947 and married Frances Allman on April 4, 1951 in Amarillo. She preceded him in death on July 5, 1998. He owned and operated Ogden & Son for 51 years. He co-produced country music albums in Nashville, Tennessee and Los Angeles, California for his daughter and Owen Bradley, a local Pampa artist. He was an elder and session member at the First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Pampa Rotary Club where he had just received the Paul Harris Fellowship. He was a board member of the American Red Cross, and a lifetime member of both the American Bowling Congress and Bass Anglers Society. He was a member of the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Vicki Ogden Merrick and husband William Merrick of Pampa. 3 Nephews: Sam Kent Ogden of Houston, Kelly Ogden and Shane Ogden, both of Denver, Colorado. 2 Cousins: Mary McElroy of Lubbock, and Nancy Chamberlain of Garden Grove, California
