Aubrey Hayse McCord 73, of Pampa, passed away January 15, 2016 in Hugoton, Kansas. Services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Howard “Duck” Wright, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. McCord was born October 6, 1942 in Cedarvale, New Mexico. He attended Pampa High School. He married Mary Evalyn Bronner on February 5, 1962 in Pampa. Aubrey enjoyed trips to Vegas, spending time with family, and their three dogs. Aubrey’s work history ranged from working auto salvage, pipe and metal fabrication, oilfield drilling materials and many different departments until retirement at Pampa Regional Medical Center. Aubrey was preceded in death his wife, Mary Evalyn Bronner McCord on December 1, 2015; his mother, Alcidene Potter Dunlap; his stepfather, Raymond Dunlap; and his father, Bill McCord. Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly Bronner and husband Randolph Birkman of Round Rock, and Terri Holmes and husband Joe of Hugoton, Kansas; a son, Clinton McCord of Pampa; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a number of cousins.
