Autumn Shantel Darden

Autumn Shantel Darden, 32, of Pampa passed away on November 23, 2020 in Pampa.

Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Keith Feerer, minister at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.  The family requests facemasks and social distancing for the service.  The services will be live-streamed through the funeral home website.

Autumn was born April 5, 1988 in Hurst.  She has lived in Pampa most of her life and was a Pampa High School graduate in 2006.  As she was growing up, she played all of the sports, starting with Optimist Club and on into to high school, but her love was for basketball.  After high school she began her working career with UPS for several years.  Since then she has worked for several different businesses through out Pampa. One of the jobs she worked at was a nursing home, she loved her time there and she was able to help and connect with the residents.  She had a gift to be able to communicate with the patients, even the most difficult ones and was able to build relationships with each one. For the past 5 months, Autumn has been a caregiver, she had a heart for the elderly and loved to help them.  She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church where she served on the praise and worship team and prayer team.  Her faith was strong, and she had a passion for praying for people and their needs.  Autumn loved her friends and could light up a room when she walked in.  She always made time and enjoyed shopping for herself and her two kids, whom she loved dearly. 

Autumn was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Darden; her grandmother, Kathryn Darden; and her grandfather, Charles Harris.

Survivors include her daughter, Aubrie Garza of Pampa; a son, Bentley Darden of Pampa; her parents, Lisa and Ricky Baird of Pampa; a sister, Telissa Sealy of Pampa; her grandmother, Lois Harris of Pampa; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
