Billie Ann Hupp, 87, of Pampa, passed away on September 26, 2025, at home with her family by her side.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Billie was born on October 5, 1937, in Canadian to William and Ona Shaw. As a girl her family moved to Miami where she grew up and graduated from high school. After high school she married her high school sweetheart, Tommy Wells and they would have three loving children out of this union. Later, they would separate but remained life-long friends. Billie would discover love again when she met Fred Hupp. They married on May 6, 1977, in Pampa and shared over 20 years together before his passing.

After graduating high school, she used her scholarship to attend and graduate from Draughn’s Business College. After graduating Billie worked for the Dean of Men and Dean of Women as a secretary, working with veterans at West Texas State University. After moving to Sweetwater Billie worked as a secretary for Nolan county Judge. Billie worked as a bookkeeper for many years and started work for the Dunningan family in the late 70’s and remained working for Mike until recently. She was a talented woman who liked the crafts and her garden; you could find her working with ceramics, upholstering, sewing, and tending to her flowers.

Billie worked as a financial secretary for the First United Methodist Church for 19 years. Billie spent years volunteering at the Relay for Life sometimes working all night. Billie was an easy person to love, she was always welcoming and caring. Without a doubt, she was woman of faith who led by example, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Fred Hupp; son, Scotty Wells; brother, Buddy Shaw; and by two sisters, Wilma Orr, and Wanda Jackson.

Billie is survived by a daughter, Kelli Ranney of Pampa; son, Roger Wells of Pampa; granddaughters, Marissa Moore of Stinnett, and Taylor Ranney of Pampa; grandson, Tommy Wells and wife Megan of Waxahachie; greatgrandchildren, Rhease, Lorelei, charlotte, and D.J.; special nephew, Wayne Wilson and wife Zelda of Pampa; father of her children, Tommy Wells and wife Johnnie of Dallas; and other extended family.
