Billie Louise Brown Reddell

September 6, 1926 — February 12, 2021

Billie Louise Brown Reddell, 94, of Pampa, passed away, February 12, 2021 in Amarillo.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2021 at Fairview Cemetery with Rick Pearson, associate pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Billie was born to Henry Clayton Brown and Eathel Grace Salyer Brown in Taylor County. Hers was a life well-spent and well-lived. She was well-loved and loving. Billie was devoted to her husband, Robert Graham Reddell. She married Robert Reddell, who she had followed to the High Plains on August 12, 1944 in Perryton. They eventually returned to Abilene. In 1948 they moved to Pampa where they lived the remainder of their lives. Billie loved Pampa and her home.

She also loved her church, Calvary Baptist, where she was an active member for more than 70 years. She and Robert were involved in moving the church from south Barnes St. and building a beautiful new facility which they hoped would grow the church. Billie and Robert spent many good years together before he preceded her in death. Their church friends were their social circle. For many years that group of friends traveled together and enjoyed each other’s company. Sadly, Billie was the last of that original group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son-in-law, Floyd Simmons; and by her three sisters, Helen Sims, Hazel Shoopman, and Sue Lambert; and by twin brothers, Loy and Coy Brown.

Billie is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Simmons of Kress, a grandson, Bob Simmons and wife Laura of Canyon; three great-grandchildren, Zachary Simmons, Britton Simmons, and Lindley Simmons; and a great great-grandchild, Lucia Simmons; a beloved niece, Fran Young of Hawley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and by host of dear friends, church family, and caregivers.

Memorials can be made to Calvary Baptist Church 900 E. 23rd Ave, Pampa, TX 79065.
