Brian Edward Evans

Brian Edward Evans, 95, of White Deer, passed away on January 14, 2022 in Pampa.

Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at First Baptist Church of White Deer with Pastor Alan Wilson of First Baptist Church of White Deer officiating. Burial will follow at White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Brian was born on December 17, 1926 in Canyon to Frank Eugene and Thelma Brian Evans, early settlers of the Texas Panhandle. He attended schools in Canyon, Canadian, and White Deer. He married the love of his life, Juanita Reeves, on March 13, 1948 in Wheeler. They made their home in White Deer, where he farmed and ranched in Carson, Armstrong, and Gray County. He was a member of First Baptist Church in White Deer. Brian was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather or Popo.

Brian is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 68 years, Nita; three sisters, Shirley Kelly, Nancy White, and Barbara Browning; five brothers-in-law, Clifton Kelly, Lonnie White, Philip Carpenter, Jeane Browning, and John Hollis Reeves; sister-in-law, Julia Reeves-Welker; son-in-law, George Borden; and great-grandson, Corin Blake.

He is survived by his three children, Deborah Borden of Clovis, New Mexico, Nancy Blake and husband Bob of San Antonio, and Ed Evans and wife Diana of Canyon; six grandchildren, Candice Weaver and husband Chad of Lazbuddie, Kimberly Davy and husband Justin of Galveston, Kristen Chastine and husband Parquer of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Brian Blake and wife Aimee of Florence, Cynthia Bernal and husband Ross of San Antonio, and Terry Chandler of Amarillo; ten great-grandchildren, Lauren Weaver and Rhett Weaver of Lazbuddie, Calvin Chastine and Finley Chastine of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Aravis Blake of Florence, Dylan Bernal, Faith Bernal, and Hope Bernal, all of San Antonio, and Kambree Chandler and Xaylee Chandler of Amarillo; a sister Carolyn Carpenter of Plainview; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins he loved dearly.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Southwest, Peggy Ward, and Atha Burnett for their care and compassion.
