Carolyn "Carol" Painter

Carolyn “Carol” Painter, 78, of Pampa, died October 17, 2017 in McLean. Services will be 10:00 AM Monday, October 23, 2017, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Rev. Roy King, retired Disciples of Christ minister, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Ms. Painter was born November 6, 1938 in Elk City, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1999, moving from Kilgore. Carolyn owned and operated her own retail store and later worked for Grandview Hopkins schools as an administrative secretary. She was a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Harper and husband Johnny of Lefors; a brother, Bob Painter and wife Rachel; three grandchildren, Josh Harper, Jeremy Harper and Cameron Dauer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ron Dauer in 1987. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
