Clifford M. Martindale, 98, of Pampa, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026 in Pampa.

Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Ron Noble, pastor of Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Clifford was born March 24, 1927 in Aberdeen, Texas to J.I. and Virginia Martindale. He attended high school in Samnorwood. After high school, he began serving in the U.S. Army in June of 1945. Clifford was discharged in 1946, on medical leave for 90 days, to help his father harvest the crops. He was recalled later in 1946 and was honorably discharged in 1956.

Clifford worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 36 years before he retired. He was a lineman and did installations and repairs. On September 19, 1959, he married the love of his life, Mollie Erwin in McLean. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in September. They lived in Amarillo until 1964 and then moved to Pampa. He was a longtime member of Briarwood Church. For many years he mowed and trimmed the grass at the church.

Clifford was always very meticulous about keeping his cars clean on the inside and out. He taught all his children how to do it right. Clifford enjoyed keeping his yard at home well groomed, it always had to be picture perfect.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bobbie Skinner; brother, Robert Martindale; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Pierce and Mary Dutton and her husband Tommy; and son, Bryan Martindale.

Survivors include his wife, Mollie of the home; three sons, Mike Martindale, Jackie Martindale, and Dan Martindale and wife Stacie; daughter, Tammye Martindale and Shawn Blackmon of Pampa; grandchildren, Casey Martindale and wife Jaycee and Logan Martindale and their mother, Angie Martindale, Brayden Johnston, Grayson Martindale, Graham Martindale, Braden Hunt, and Ethan Hunt and wife Autumn, Joey Blackmon, Jarrod Blackmon, and Vinny Blackmon; great grandchildren, Wyatt Martindale, Cora Martindale and Hollyn Hunt; three sisters, Bonnie Thompson, Janie Mason, and Winnie Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to his two caregivers, Tonya Owens-Garza and Joanie Thomas, for their love and care.
