Connie Hoke, 75, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on February 9, 2024 in Prague, Oklahoma.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Jim Sinyard, pastor of Carpenter’s Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Connie was born July 20, 1948 in Pampa to Rufus and Marie Holmes. She attended Pampa schools growing up. After high school, she married Johnny Hoke on January 7, 1966. They celebrated 56 years of marriage before he passed away on July 18, 2022. When Connie was younger, she enjoyed playing the piano at church and singing in the church choir. She was able to be a stay home mom while her son, Steven, was growing up. Connie enjoyed hosting parties at their house for any type of family function. After Steven graduated, she received her CNA certification, and was a caregiver for many elderly people. She loved to care for them. In 1999, they moved to Oklahoma, and she continued to care for others. Connie enjoyed playing games on her cell phone and talking on the phone to one of her lifelong friends, Jenny Dorman. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jimmi Hoke, and a sister, Lajuana Mayer.

Survivors include her son, Steven Hoke and wife LaTonya of Oklahoma City, OK; daughter, Stephanie Hoke of Waleetka, OK; she was known as Gma to her four grandchildren, Brandon Phillips, Casey Jones and husband Hadley, Holly Coggins and husband CJ, and Chance Roland and wife Bella; four great grandchildren, Hayden Jones, Chloe Jones, Olivia Coggins, and Makenna Coggins and numerous other “grandchildren”; brother, Larry Holmes and wife Darlene of Pampa; brother-in-law, David Hoke and wife Susan of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Kathy Cuellar of Pampa; three nieces, Pam Dittberner, Sue Campbell, Sheila Niccum and husband Ronnie all of Pampa; and a nephew, Joe Holmes and wife Terri of Hugoton, Kansas.
