D L Hale

D. L. Hale, 92, of Pampa passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 in Pampa.

Private family memorial graveside services will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Hale was born March 10, 1928 in Brownwood to D.L., Sr. and Jewell Humphrey Hale. D. L. graduated from Pampa High School in 1946. He married Leona Mills on July 23, 1949 in Pampa; she passed away on November 11, 1990. D. L. was a rancher in Roberts County from 1949 until 1975 when he returned to Pampa. After he returned to Pampa, he continued to raise cattle and enjoyed investing in the stock market. D. L. was an avid exerciser, working out daily. He later married Beth Woelfe; she passed away in 2016. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and his dogs.

D. L. was preceded in death by two daughters, Sidney Sherrod and Leslie Nooncaster; and a sister, Joye Cree.

Survivors include a son, Steve Hale and wife Karen of Miami; a son-in-law, John Nooncaster of Fayetteville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Shelly Hearthneck and husband Rob of San Antonio, Traci Bartee and husband Stephen of Albany, Donna Hale of Miami, Kristen Davis and husband Britton of Mobeetie, and Bradley Hale and wife Melissa of Miami; 10 great-grandchildren, Kutter, Sidney, Saige, Trevor, Fletcher, Andi, Jett, Harper, Lawson, and Tayte.

The family would like to thank Interim Hospice and his caregivers from the last couple of years, Brenda, Letye, Carolina, LeeAnn, Lily, Terri, and Kristina.
