Dan Charles Adams, 70, of Skellytown, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 at his home.

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Dan was born on March 12, 1956 in Pampa to William Autry Adams and Dorothy Wanda Adams. He was raised in and attended school in Skellytown At a young age; Dan entered the workforce where he held several jobs and truly became a jack of all trades. He worked as a carpenter, a locksmith, a glass repair man, and a heavy equipment operator. Dan was an especially gifted handy man and was incredibly proud of his craftsmanship. If there was a project needing to be done, Dan was the right man for the job.

He married Nancy Jo Adams on September 18, 1982 and gained two daughters, Jen and Renee. They were later blessed with two more children, Jed and Angie. They were happily married for over 20 years until her passing 2003. Dan enjoyed spending quality time with family at his property in Colorado, often referred to as “The Place”. He also enjoyed watching western TV shows, hunting for Indian artifacts, collecting antiques, and gardening.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dorothy Adams; his wife of over 20 years, Nancy Jo Adams; and three siblings, Stephen “Butch” Adams, Billy Adams, and April Adams.

He is survived by his children, Angela Adams Cobb and husband Matt, Jed Adams, Renee Thomas and husband Dusty, and Jen Mooney and husband Daniel; several grandchildren; brother, Doug Adams and wife Eva; special friend, Tiffany Hanks; and numerous nieces and nephews.
