Danny Anderson

Danny Anderson, age 64, of Pampa, passed away peacefully at his home on January 31, 2026.

A celebration of life memorial service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, February 5, 2026, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Byron Williamson of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Danny will be available for viewing from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, Wednesday and 8:00 AM - till service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Danny was born on October 2, 1961, in Charleston, South Carolina to Everett and Julia Anderson. Known by his family as a “military brat,” Danny experienced life in many places due to his father’s service to the country. He lived and attended school all over the states as well as his time in Germany. After graduating from Medical Lake High School in Washington, Danny met the love of his life, LaNeen Long. They were married in 1987 and later welcomed three children: Tosha, Andy and Kendra.

In 1999, Danny and his family moved to Pampa to be closer to family. He was a friendly and outgoing man who spent many years in the food service industry. He enjoyed his time working at Fat Tony’s Pizza in Panhandle, the Pampa Country Club, and later with Schwan’s. Before his illness, Danny enjoyed bowling, golfing, and shooting pool. He also loved fishing, riding the scariest amusement park rides, and taking occasional trips to Las Vegas with LaNeen. With his kind heart and welcoming personality, Danny never met a stranger and always enjoyed helping others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Kendra Rose Anderson; his maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Marguerite Martin; and a cousin, Danny Martin.

Danny is survived by his wife, LaNeen Anderson; daughter, Tosha Wright; son, Andy Anderson; grandchildren, Kelsie, Hunter, Mason, and Logan; uncle, Charlie Martin and wife Pat; cousins, David Martin, Lilly Shoup, Dawn LeMoine, and Pat Barber; and other extended family members.
