Danny Franklin Holman, 61, of Pampa, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023, in Birmingham, Alabama.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, March 13, 2023, at First Baptist Church with James Greer officiating. Burial will follow at the Holman Ranch, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00PM - 7:30PM on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at the funeral home.
Everyone is invited to bring their own branding iron to brand the casket at the conclusion of the graveside service.
The service will be livestreamed through the Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors website.
Danny was born on April 13, 1961, in Pampa to Billie and Frank Holman. He attended school in Pampa, graduating in 1979. He spent a few semesters at Frank Phillips following high school and then went to work for JW Thrasher. Next, Danny worked for CSI, repairing compressors. He was currently working for JW Power and had been with the company for the last 22 years, working as a mechanic supervisor.
Outside of work, Danny was involved in many different groups and hobbies. He was a volunteer at the Hoover Fire Department for 10 years and served on the board for the Top O’ Texas Rodeo Association. He was also a member of First Baptist Church. In his free time, Danny loved ranching and bull riding, attending his grandson’s sporting events, and would tell the corniest dad jokes to anyone that would listen.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and brother-in-law, Steve Randall.
He is survived by his son, Justin Holman and wife Bridget of Miami; grandson, Easton Holman of Miami; fiancée, Sheila Patterson of Queen City; two sisters, Delia Randall of Pampa and Mary Thrasher and husband Mike of San Marcus; two brothers, William Holman, and Dennis Holman and wife Jo, all of Pampa; stepmother, Bonnie Holman; step-sister, Tina Lovewell and husband James; step-brother, Greg Conley; former step-daughter, Nicole Underwood and husband Robert of Bixby, Oklahoma; former step-son, Bobby Sikes and wife Erin of Richmond Hills; former mother-in-law, Marolyn O’Quin and husband Ray of Perryton; former brother-in-law, Scott Howard and wife Denise of Laketon; former sister-in-law, Shelley Gunter and husband Slim of Sweetwater, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
