The family will be receiving friends from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the funeral home.

David was born on April 17, 1941 in Alluwe, Oklahoma to Gus and Ellen Livingston. He attended schools in Alluwe, graduating in 1960. David joined the Army shortly after high school, serving from 1963 to 1965. Soon after joining, on December 21, 1963, he married the love of his life, Judy Flanagan. He spent most of his military tenure in Fort Smith, in Arkansas, and Fort Bliss, in El Paso.

After he was honorably discharged, David began his career with Phillips Petroleum. He started out as a jug hustler on a seismograph crew, working all over Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. Eventually he reached the position of shooter. In 1971, he was transferred to Pampa, working at the Gray, Grayco, and North plants. He moved the family to Lefors in 1974. Through the years, he was able to work up to the position of field operator. David retired from Phillips in 1996, but later was self-employed as a contract pumper, until he completely retired in 2019. Outside of the oilfield, he served on the City Council in Lefors for two years. He also helped with the Lefors Volunteer Fire Department for several years.

In his spare time, David would often work on his tractor, always improving it. He also loved to bowl, occasionally golf, and spend time at the lake. His grandkids and great grands were his greatest joys. He enjoyed getting to be with them as often as possible. David was greatly loved and will be missed by his friends and family.

David is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Florence Mae McKay, Madeline Inman, and Patricia Lutrell; and two brothers, Alfred Livingston and Tommy Livingston.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of the home; his daughter, Lendi Jackson and husband Barry of Lefors; his son, Roy Livingston and wife Charlotte of Pampa; four grandsons, Steven Livingston and wife Brittney of Gruver, Tony Livingston and wife Misti of Denver City, Cory Jackson and wife Alex of Panhandle, and Drake Jackson and wife Bailey of Amarillo; one granddaughter, Emily Sprouse and husband Jeremy of Lefors; ten great-grandchildren, Reagan, RyLynn, Noah, Cason, Kyleigh, Oaklee, Penny, Collyns, Jaxon, and Karleigh; and two brothers, Bill Livingston of Owasso, Oklahoma and Ronnie Livingston of Dewey, Oklahoma; and by other extended family.
