Mildred Diane Walker Brawley, 69, passed peacefully from this earth and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on April 7, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas while surrounded by her loving family. Born to John and Lonita Hillman in Kiowa, Kansas, she was known for her love for Jesus and exceptional sewing abilities.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, April 13, 2026, at Briarwood Church with Pastor Jamisen Hancock, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Diane's family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 PM, Sunday, at the funeral home.
Diane Walker Brawley was the definition of a devoted mother. She spent her life selflessly putting the needs of her children before her own, always ensuring they felt deeply loved, valued, and special. Her kindness was constant, her love unwavering, and her example powerful.
A faithful follower of Jesus, she taught her family not only through words, but through the way she lived each day—showing them how to love others, how to forgive freely, and how to extend kindness in every circumstance. She led with humility, never hesitating to apologize and always striving to make things right. Her gentle spirit and servant’s heart left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew her.
She was a cherished and active member of Briarwood Church in Pampa, Texas, where her faith and love for others were evident.
She is survived by her loving husband, Larry Brawley of Pampa, Texas; her children, Michelle Stone of Amarillo, Texas, Dustin Walker and wife Christi of Benbrook, Texas, and Logan Walker of Wichita Falls, Texas; five beloved grandchildren; and four treasured great-grandchildren.
With hearts anchored in the hope of Christ, the family rejoices in knowing that Diane Walker Brawley is whole, healed, and in the presence of her Savior, Jesus. In honor of her joyful spirit and the light she carried through her faith, the family kindly asks those attending to wear spring colors rather than traditional black attire.
The family is deeply grateful for the prayers, love, and support during this time as they celebrate a life so beautifully lived for the Lord.
She was dearly loved and will never be forgotten.
