Dixie Lea Oldham, 86, of Pampa, passed away on October 29, 2022, with her family by her side.

A memorial service will be held at a late date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Dixie was born on July 20, 1936, in Saint Joseph, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in Missouri. After high school she moved to California. While in California, she met the love of her life Ted Oldham while he was stationed in the Navy. They built a life in California and lived there for many years before coming to the Panhandle of Texas to care for Ted’s mother. They shared many good years together before he preceded her in death in 2012.

Dixie worked in the grocery business for many years. Her tenure included Frank’s Grocery, United Supermarkets, and lastly at Wal-Mart helping in the pharmacy. Dixie was a talented in the crafts and she excelled at sewing and she enjoyed making garments for all the family. She also loved cooking and passing those skills unto her family as well. Above all she will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Dixie will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, George Gregory Liberty.

Dixie is survived by her son, Theodore Michael Liberty and wife Dana of Fresno, CA; two daughters, Kelley AlJean Liberty Fritsche and husband Mark of Pampa, and Cynthia Marie Miller of Amarillo; grandchildren, Natasha Portillo, Shannon Liberty, Michael Liberty, Steven Liberty, Shawnna Liberty, David Liberty, Josaph Liberty, Jathen Miller, Salina Koerper,  and Raelynn Miller; greatgrandchildren, Alexis, Isaiah, Aliza, Adiana, August, Declan, Michael, Jr., Bryant, Emanuel, Johnnie, Serenity, Lilly, Amelia, Reagan, Aria, Izai, Aydenn, Adriel, Aviana; great greatgrandchildren, Sophia and Azden; and other extended family.
