Dolores was born on September 11, 1934, in Meeker, Oklahoma to J.L. and Wahneta Rattan McDaniel. She attended school in Meeker and as a young girl, she worked with her family on their farm. Dolores moved to Enid a few years later, and she met the love of her life, Richard Kent. The two married on April 9, 1955. Soon after the wedding, they moved to Sidney, Nebraska for Richard’s work. Dolores stayed at home to take care of their children and was an excellent housekeeper.

In 1965, Dolores and her family moved to Borger, where they were in the community for over 30 years. She was an active member of the Canadian River Cowboy Church and was a devout Christian. In her free time, Dolores enjoyed shopping and spending time at the Senior Citizens center. Her main focus in life was her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids. In 2013, she and Richard moved to Pampa to be closer to their family. She loved to be with her family as often as she could. Dolores was close with her family, and she will be missed greatly by those that knew her.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Jeff Kent; husband, Richard Kent; and eight siblings.

She is survived by her son, Tim Kent and wife Jan of Joplin, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Debra Kent of Pampa; three grandsons, Adam Kent, Brad Kent, and Chad Kent, all of Pampa; two granddaughters, Alex Gerwel and Stephanie Kent, both of Fort Collins, Colorado; a brother, Clyde McDaniel of Meeker, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
