Donna Shelton, 66, of Pampa, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, March 6, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Frankie Lemons, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Entombment will follow under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Donna was born on April 27, 1955 in Dumas to Roy and Glynna Youngblood Record. She attended school in Dumas, Canyon, and Claude. Donna was a 1973 graduate of Claude High School. After high school, Donna attended Clarendon College where she studied many subjects. She then obtained a degree in cosmetology from Amarillo College of Hairdressing. Donna married the love of her life, Jimmy Shelton, on September 4, 1976 in Hedley. She was a member of the Mary Ellen and Harvester Church of Christ. Donna worked for several years at Community Daycare before entering the home health industry as a medical equipment specialist with National Home Health and later BritKare. During her free time, Donna enjoyed painting, knitting, crocheting, reading, and gardening. When she was younger, Donna loved to ride horses. She was a dedicated wife and mother that loved her family deeply.
Donna was preceded in death by her father, Roy Record; her paternal grandparents, Tom and Lula Mae Record; and her maternal grandparents, Harold and Judy Easton.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Shelton, of the home; her mother, Glynna Record of Pampa; two sons, Michael Shelton and wife Jessica of Silverton and Joey Shelton of Pampa; and one granddaughter, Julia Shelton.
