Dorothy “Dottie” Noble, 82, of Pampa, and formerly of Balko, Oklahoma, passed away on August 23, 2025, in Pampa.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with her son, Pastor Ron Noble of the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Pampa, officiating. Burial will follow at 2:30 PM, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Balko, Oklahoma.
After the graveside service, the Noble family will be available to meet with friends and family at the Balko Community Faith Church in Balko, Oklahoma.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home in Pampa.
Dottie was born on March 17, 1943, in Arkansas to Whitson and Bertha McElhaney. As a young child, her family moved to Oklahoma where they settled outside of Venita on a place called “Timber Hill”. She grew up and attended school in Blue Jacket. After high school, she would meet the love of her life, Ronald Noble while he was attending Bible College! Soon after they would marry and begin their family out in the country called Balko Oklahoma, where Ronald had grown up on the family farm. They were blessed with two children, Ron and Teresa. This little town of Balko served as a place for a lifetime of memories before his passing in 2011.
In 2019, she relocated to Pampa to be closer to family. While in Pampa, she found love again when she met Walter Batman. They courted for a few years and then married on April 6, 2024, in Pampa. Dottie found enjoyment working with crafts, she tried many types of crafts and especially loved ceramics. She would stay up reading till late at night. Working on her flowerbeds and rock garden gave her many hours of enjoyment. Dottie was sweet but also would tell you what she truly thought. She was a gentle and loyal Christian woman who many people enjoyed being around. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ronald; two brothers, Bob and Johnny; and by two sisters, Barbara and Letha.
Dottie’s survivors include her spouse, Walter Batman of Pampa: her daughter, Teresa Scannell (Rod) of Edmond, Oklahoma; son, Ron Noble (Evelyn) of Pampa; two grandchildren, Bryant Noble (Cali,) and Ivy Brooke Noble, all of Pampa; great-grandchildren, Hayes, Sloan, and Bryer, all of Pampa; sister, Frances Lavonne Weirich of Florida; brothers-in-law, Derral Noble (Kim) of Amarillo, and Melvin Batman of Pampa.
