Dottie Kimbley, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026 with family at her bedside.

Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Dottie was born May 24, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas to A.E and Muriel Rightsell and grew up in Pampa, Texas where she met the love of her life, Philip Kimbley. During their marriage, Dottie became a lifetime member of The Order of the Eastern Star, and both joined the Pampa Jaycees in the late 60's and early 70’s. At one point Philip was President of the Jaycees and Dottie, President of the Jaycettes. They helped to bring in many activities to Pampa with the help of other members. They brought in carnivals, parades, charity drives among many other events. Dottie also spent many hours helping to decorate downtown each Christmas with the beautiful Christmas decorations that everyone living there during that time remember ever so fondly.

After raising their children, they moved to San Antonio, and both retired with AT&T. Upon retirement Dottie and Philip bought a motor home and traveled the road to the Colorado Mountains, staying months at a time, and going on many cruises. Throughout their marriage they were inseparable, joined at the hip and shoulder, and were happily married for 64 wonderful years until Philip's passing in 2021.

Proceeding her in death are her parents; husband, Philip Kimbley; a son, Gary Kimbley; sister, Valda Arlene Callison; and brother, Dannie Rightsell.

She is survived by her daughter, Terri Hemphill and husband David; daughter-in-law, Christy Kimbley; grandsons, Chris Hemphill and wife Andrea, Stephen Hemphill and wife Amanda; granddaughters, Ryann Elliott and husband Josh and Dru Melton and husband Ryan; great-grandson, Joshua Hemphill; and great granddaughter, Hailey Hemphill and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
