Esperanza “Comina” Perez, 66, of Pampa, passed away surrounded by family on Monday, January 26, 2026.

Esperanza “Comina” Perez, de 66 años, de Pampa, falleció rodeada de su familia el lunes 26 de enero de 2026.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 30, 2026, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with Rev. Guadalupe Mayorga, officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

La misa fúnebre se celebrará el viernes 30 de enero de 2026 a las 10:00 a. m. en la Iglesia Católica de San Vicente de Paúl, oficiada por el reverendo Guadalupe Mayorga. El sepelio tendrá lugar a continuación en el Cementerio Fairview, bajo la dirección de la funeraria y crematorio Carmichael-Whatley.

The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel.

Esperanza was born on June 20, 1959, in Durango, Mexico to Valentin and Esperanza Sariñana. She married the love of her life, Antonio Perez, in 1984 and the two would move to Denver, Colorado in 1995 and then to Pampa in 1998. The two of them had four kids together.

Esperanza nació el 20 de junio de 1959 en Durango, México, hija de Valentín y Esperanza Sariñana. Se casó con el amor de su vida, Antonio Pérez, en 1984, y la pareja se mudó a Denver en 1995 y posteriormente a Pampa en 1998. Tuvieron cuatro hijos juntos.

Esperanza was a stay-at-home mom and found a lot of joy in taking care of her children. She loved to watch novelas, listen to Jenni Rivera, and going dancing. Her biggest enjoyment came from taking care of her family. She had a good sense of humor and was known to make jokes with her family. Esperanza never met a stranger and was very friendly to everybody. She was very devoted to the Virgin Mary and her faith.

Esperanza era ama de casa y encontraba mucha alegría en cuidar de sus hijos. Le encantaba ver telenovelas, escuchar a Jenni Rivera e ir a bailar. Su mayor felicidad provenía de cuidar de su familia. Tenía un gran sentido del humor y era conocida por hacer bromas con sus familiares. Esperanza era muy sociable y amable con todo el mundo. Era muy devota de la Virgen María y de su fe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings, Apolonio Esparza Palacios, Emilio Sariñana, Francisco Sariñana, Benjamin Sariñana, Aurelio Sariñana, Adelaida Sariñana, and Socorro Sariñana.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; siete hermanos, Apolonio Esparza Palacios, Emilio Sariñana, Francisco Sariñana, Benjamín Sariñana, Aurelio Sariñana, Adelaida Sariñana y Socorro Sariñana.

Survivors include her husband, Antonio Perez; four siblings, Martin Sariñana Palacios, Valentin Sariñana Palacios, Maria Isabel Sariñana Palacios, and Esiquio Sariñana Palacios; four children, Eugenio Perez Sariñana and wife Marissa, Daisy Perez Sariñana and husband Fernando Rivera, Christopher Perez and wife Mayra, and Ivan Raul Perez Sariñana and wife Lizeth Castillo; eleven grandchildren, Liam Perez, Christopher Perez, Maritza Rivera, Kaylee Rivera, Itzell Perez, Iamilee Perez, Maria Jose Perez, Jaziel Perez, Melissa Montoya, Alexis Montoya, and Jesus Perez; as well as many more extended family members and friends.
