Estelle was born April 10, 1939 in Pampa to G.L. (Nat) and Alma Lunsford.  She was reared in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1957.  Estelle met AC Malone while he was working at Citizens Bank and they were married in 1959.  He passed away earlier this year on February 3, 2020.  Her career began in the banking industry with Citizens Bank and she retired in 1997 with Bank of America after 29 years of service.  She enjoyed her career in banking and made wonderful friendships with her co-workers as well as customers.  Estelle especially enjoyed the CD department in the middle of the 1990’s.   She had an anonymous customer nominate her for the Registry of Outstanding Women in Business; it was a great honor for her.

Estelle was a member of the American Businesswomen and was elected as Woman of the Year in 2000.  She was involved in Friends of the Library, Pampa Koi and Garden Club, and a longtime member of Central Baptist Church.  Estelle was the organist at the church for 8 years and would happily fill in whenever needed.  Estelle enjoyed laminating articles of her customers and mailing them through the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Harold Lunsford in 1954.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa Mitchell and husband John of Pampa; a grandson, Ajay Mitchell of Pampa; 3 granddaughters, Heather Mitchell of Amarillo, Lindsey Johnson of Arlington, Virginia, and Kelli Jo Long of Burleson; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks Interim Home Health and Hospice and Pampa Nursing Center for their love and care over the past few years.  Also, a special thank you to Naomi Blackburn for her care and compassion of A.C and Estelle.
