A celebration of George’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
George was born on January 29, 1951 in Los Angeles, California. He was adopted along with his sister, Anne, by George and Virginia Jenson. George was raised in India for 23 years before returned to the states. He was drafted by the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He served his country selflessly for two tours. George later went to college to study dentistry before leaving to pursue other passions.
George was an insanely gifted mechanic; he could make a machine seem like a work of art. He was also a very good cook, anything he touched in the kitchen would be delicious. George enjoyed being outdoors and playing baseball with his son. He was a survivalist and could build just about anything with his hands. George was artistic and even knew how to play several instruments. He was a man of his convictions and always stood up for the little man. George was truly a jack of all trades. He will be missed by his family and friends.
George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Virgina Jenson.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Jenson of Houston; five children, Sheetal Jenson of India, Jared Jenson of Houston, Derek Jenson of Houston, Michael Jenson and wife Amanda of Blum, and Corbin Jenson and wife Molly of Keene; two siblings, Anne Burden and husband John of Grants Pass, Oregon and Tim Jenson of Oceanside, California; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
