Geraldine Davis, 60, of Pampa, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in Pampa.

 

No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

 

Geraldine was born on May 14, 1964 in Mangum, Oklahoma to Jackson Barkus, Sr. and Berdie Lee Hood Davis. She attended school in Mangum and Altus. Geraldine graduated from high school in Mangum in 1982. After high school, Geraldine took care of her father and worked as a housekeeper for several years. 

 

Later, Geraldine moved to Pampa to be closer to her sister, Linda. She worked for a few years as a cook before getting a job as a housekeeper at Coronado Healthcare Center. She worked at the nursing home for many years until her health would no longer allow her too. Geraldine enjoyed reading, watching her favorite show, Big Valley, and going to church. She was a faithful member of the Open Door Church of God in Christ.

 

Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Barkus, Sr. and Berdie Lee Davis; three brothers, Jackson Barkus, Jr., Philip Davis, and Milton Davis; and two sisters, Cora Lee Davis and Georgette Davis.

 

She is survived by her siblings, Linda Ellison of Pampa, Kenneth Davis of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Matthew Davis of Oklahoma City; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, Merial, Major and wife Lacee, Schanelle, Schanequa, Schamaya, Cora, Charlotte, Stephanie, Makahla, Tenika, Caydance, Myla, Tristan, Jace, Tylan, and Gabriel, and Marcus; and her loving church family.
