Jessie Aaron Parsley, 39, of Amarillo passed away on Monday, April 13, 2026 in Amarillo.
A private family service will take place at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Jessie was born January 5, 1987 in New Mexico. He graduated from Pampa High School in 2005. After graduating, he worked various jobs in Pampa for several years before moving to Amarillo. Jessie worked at United as a stocker in Amarillo for several years before his health deteriorated and he couldn’t work any longer.
Jessie battled health issues throughout his entire life, with type 1 diabetes causing many of his complications. Despite these challenges, he was able to receive a kidney transplant, which helped improve some of his health. Through it all, Jessie maintained a positive outlook on life. He found joy in giving back to others, volunteering with the Special Olympics and supporting programs for juvenile diabetes.
Jessie loved dancing with his sister, Deanna. He took on the role as the prince in the Nutcracker for three years. Jessie was also a wonderful artist; he had a creative mind. He still enjoyed comic books, ninja turtles, and eating pizza. Watching old “gray” movies, as he called them, with John Wayne in them was also something he enjoyed. Jessie was loved dearly by his family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Parsley; sister, Tonja Davis; and his grandparents, Opal and Kenneth Ray.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Parsley of Amarillo; siblings, Deanna McGill and husband David of Pampa, Ricky Parsley of Amarillo, Tammy Damron and husband Dewayne of Pampa, Rodney Parsley and wife Elaine of Pantego, Vangie Hardman and husband Sean of Pampa, Jo Parker and husband Billy of Kingston, Crystal Ramos of Minnesota, and Calvin Parsley of Amarillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Memorials can be sent to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Pampa Civic Ballet.
