John Curtis Schumacher

October 25, 1984 — April 10, 2026

Skellytown

John Curtis Schumacher, 41, of Skellytown, passed away on April 10, 2026, at his home in Skellytown.

Services for John are pending at this time. Arrangements and Cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

John was born on October 25, 1984 in Amarillo, to Toni and John Schumacher. He was raised in Amarillo and graduated from Tascosa High School. After graduating, John would attend the AutoTech program at Amarillo College. He worked various welding jobs and then went on to work for Texas Gas. John would eventually build his own trucking company, Cross Carriers LLC. He enjoyed getting to travel all over the United States but felt called by the Lord to return home and spend more time with his family. His most recent employment was with The City of Skellytown. Most people would consider him a “jack of all trades”.

John was a faithful member of the Soldiers for Christ M/M Chapter B for 15 years, as well as Briarwood Church for the past six years. He was a devoted family man, who especially enjoyed family camping and fishing trips, and time around the fire in the backyard. Everyone who knew John knew that he was as reliable as they came, always just a phone call away if you needed help with anything. He truly had a servant’s heart and always strived to keep Jesus first in his life.

John is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi Schumacher; five children, Wyatt Schumacher, Emilie Schumacher, Jaelyn Jones and husband Evan, Gary Lynch, and Avery Lynch; mother, Toni Schumacher; father, John Schumacher; grandmother, Shirley Schumacher; and a brother, Jeremy Schumacher and wife Janell.

Donations in John’s memory may be made to Soldiers for Christ M/M Chapter B, P.O. Box 365, Skellytown, TX, 79080. Or to Briarwood Church, 1800 W Harvester Ave., Pampa, TX, 79065.
