Julia A. "Judy" Lee

Julia A. “Judy” Lee, 77, of McLean, passed away November 19, 2019 in McLean.

Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2019, at First United Methodist Church in McLean, with Rev. Thacker Haynes, minister, officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in McLean, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.

Judy was born September 17, 1942 in Boulder, Colorado to Bernice and Irwin Pittam. As a young girl, her family moved to Jal, New Mexico where she attended and graduated high school. As a high school senior, she met the love of her life, Darel Lee, and they later married July 22, 1960 in Jal. She and Darel would travel to several locations with El Paso Natural Gas Company before settling in Darel’s hometown of McLean, where they resided ever since.

Judy attended First United Methodist Church in McLean where she kept the nursery. She liked to spend her time with crafts, reading, and solving puzzles. She loved playing games with her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to spend time and help all children. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Darel Lee of the home; one daughter, Penny Carr and husband David of Pampa; two sons, Kenneth Lee and wife LeAnn of Odessa, and Marcus Lee and wife Kathy of San Angelo; three sisters, Joan Roberts of Shamrock, Luetta Hunt and Elizabeth Pittam, both of El Paso; three brothers, Harry Pittam and wife Verna of Lovington, New Mexico, Dennis Pittam of Hawaii, and Ricky Pittam and wife Joyce of Jal, New Mexico; eight grandsons, four granddaughters, and eight great-great grandchildren and other extended family.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Bernie Pittam.

Memorials may be made to First United Church, 219 N. Gray, McLean, Texas 79057.
