Larry Walter Schneider

Larry W. Schneider, 85, of Corpus Christi, formerly of Pampa passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in Corpus Christi.

Celebration of life services will be at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mr. Schneider was born June 26, 1936 in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He served in the National Guard, was a graduate of Graceland College and the University of Nebraska in petroleum engineering. He was a member of the R.L.D.S. Church, and later the Mary Ellen Harvester Church of Christ. After his wife passed, he moved to Rockport, TX and was a volunteer for Hospice and enjoyed playing duplicate Bridge. He was the embodiment of strength under pressure, and steadfast calm in the storm. His guidance and compassion will be missed and never forgotten.

He is preceded in death by his father, Walter F. Schneider; his mother, Wilda B. Currie; his wife, Emilie R. Benedict; son, Cordell K. Schneider; and his two sisters, Shirley Ehlers and Karen Kinser.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Dennen; grandson, Russell Dennen; great-granddaughter, Patience Dennen; his longtime companion, Kathy Stephens; three nephews, Tony Fleming, Tommy Fleming, and Carl Ehlers; three nieces, Laura Ehlers, Linell Ehlers, and Lisa Ehlers; life-long friends Herc and Bev; and numerous extended family members.
