Linda Joyce Hutchings

June 25, 1953 — March 14, 2021

Linda Hutchings, 67, of Pampa, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at home, surrounded by family.

Celebration of life Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Pastor Rick Pearson, associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Hutchings was born on June 25, 1953, in Washington DC. Linda graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High in Miami, FL in 1971.

Linda met her soulmate, Troy Hutchings, in 1999. She moved to Pampa in the spring of 2000, and she and Troy were married June 3, 2000. They were inseparably married for 20 years.

Linda enlisted in the US Army in 1971 as a clerical typist and in 1974, she changed careers to Military Police. Her military career came to an end in January 1978. She worked for Centramedia in Pampa and later as a dispatcher for the Pampa Police Department. Linda was a woman of many talents and abilities.

Linda lived and loved life to the fullest. She enjoyed many activities including gardening, crafting, and taking family trips and vacations. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow up. She never met a stranger and loved to make people laugh and smile. Linda had a personality as large as her heart.

She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Lloyd Kinchen; stepfather, Joseph Farina; two brothers, Patrick Farina and Frank Farina; and a sister, Teri Burnsed.

Linda is survived by her husband, Troy Hutchings of Pampa, TX; three daughters, Michelle Keen of Magnolia, Stephanie Wagner and husband Chris of Pampa, and Pamela Mesa and husband Elijah of Amarillo; her mother, Kaye Farina of North Carolina; two brothers, Ronald Kinchen of Tennessee and Barry Kinchen of North Carolina; two sisters, Robin Kinchen of North Carolina and Mary Draime of Minnesota; six grandchildren, Charli, Arianna, Piper, Alex, Benjamin, and Marilyn.
