In 1974, Lynda met Pedro Arreola while working at Furr’s Cafeteria in Wichita, Kansas. The two of them dated for a while, and one weekend, decided to visit Pampa. She held the secretary position at many local businesses including Shed Realty and Kelly’s Services at Celanese. She was also a library clerk for some time. Although she officially retired in 2006, Lynda immediately began her job as the secretary for A&T Yard Services, Inc. and was employed there until her passing.

Lynda had many hobbies which included reading, singing, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Food Network on TV. She loved the Lord and loved her family dearly.
