Marcos Villarreal, Sr., 35 of Pampa, passed away and joined several cousins who went before him on September 2, 2026, in Amarillo with his family by his side.
Viewing will be from 12:00 – 8:00 PM, Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the funeral home.
Memorial services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Carpenters Church with Pastor Jim Sinyard, pastor, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Marcos was born on August 25, 1991, in Pampa to Gilbert Villarreal, Jr. and Jamie Kells and raised by his grandparents, Gilbert Villarreal, Sr., and wife Tina. Marcos attended school and lived most of his life in Pampa. After school, Marcos did a lot of traveling and living a free-spirited life and just being a wanderer at heart. He participated in a few odd jobs as a young man, until he found work with Texas HazMat, a job that he found to be interesting and presented a new and different day.
In his spare time, he loved music and he loved all genres- there was not a type of music he could not find appreciation in. Marcos had a great sense of humor and was known to be the jokester among his family and friends. He loved all his family, especially his children, and he was the type of person you could always call if you needed something. Marcos will be remembered as a generous man who was always kind and giving.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Victor and Consuelo Villarreal; and cousin, Kolby William, and several other cousins.
Survivors include his children, Marcos Villarreal, Jr. of Perryton, Alexa Villarreal of Pampa, and Lilly Villarreal of Pampa; parents, Gilbert Villarreal, Sr. and wife Tina of Pampa; mother, Jamie DeWitt and husband Ron of Perryton; father, Gilbert Villarreal, Jr. and wife Lorena Rodriguez of Pampa; grandparents, Chuck and Jerrie Jones of Amarillo; siblings, Cameron DeWitt and wife Miranda of Perryton, Austin DeWitt and wife Keeley of Perryton, Jasper DeWitt of Perryton, Bracie Villarreal of Pampa, Santana Villareal and wife Kloe of Amarillo, Montana Villarreal; and Connie Villarreal of Pampa; numerous cousins and other extended family.
