Mary Miller

Mary Miller, 83, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in Pampa.

Gravesides services will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at the Memory Gardens Mausoleum with Rev. Byron Williamson, pastor at First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Mary was born on February 19, 1941 in Crellin, Maryland to Archie and Mary Bergner Lewis. She attended school and was raised in Cresaptown, Maryland. Mary married Charley Miller on June 21, 1958 in Potomac Park, Maryland. In the early 1960’s, Mary and Charley moved to Pampa and made it their home. 

Mary was a dedicated homemaker and loved nothing more than taking care of her family. She kept her home in immaculate condition. Mary was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed sewing clothes and costumes for her family, and beautiful curtains for her home. She loved listening to music, especially George Strait. Mary was incredibly involved in her grandchildren’s activities, she attended every party, game, and recital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Archie and Mary Lewis; one daughter, Kali Ann Miller; one grandson; Andrew McDougall; and two brothers, Robert Lewis and William Lewis.

Mary is survived by her spouse, Charley Miller of the home; three daughters, Melany Craig and husband Larry of Pampa, Randie Davis of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Laura Covalt and husband Monte of Pampa; one sister, Carolyn Hedrick of Cresaptown, Maryland; nine grandchildren, Charles Craig and wife Sarah, Hunter Craig and wife ToniRae, Jacob Craig and wife Caitlyn, Maggi Richey and husband Matt, Trey Davis, Grace Davis, Cali Willingham and husband Jake, Abbi Whisenhunt and husband Cole, and John Luke Covalt and wife Megan; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members.
