Patricia “Pat” Youngblood, 95, of Lefors, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026 in Lefors.

Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2026 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Zac Green officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Pat was born August 2, 1930 to Arthur and Bertie Henry. While she was at Abilene Christian University, she met and married Harry Youngblood on November 19, 1949. They were married for 37 years before Harry passed away in 1986. After graduation, they moved to Perryton and then moved to Stinnet where she worked as a high school librarian and also the editor for the Hutchison County Herald. In 1965, they moved their family to Lefors to live on the ranch that her grandparents homesteaded in 1892.

Pat was a member of various clubs and organizations such as PEO, Beta Sigma Phi, DAR, National Cattleman’s Association, and involved in 4-H and FFA activities. She also served on state boards of Texas Federation of Women’s Club, Texas Cattle Women, Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Foundation, and Foundation Board of Clarendon College.

Pat enjoyed traveling to South Fork, Colorado and Rio Grande River. She loved the outdoors and spending time on the ranch with her children and grandchildren. Pat’s hard work and dedication to the ranch will forever remain in the hearts of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry Youngblood; and a son, Harry “Skipper” Youngblood, III.

Survivors include two daughters, Cynde Howell and husband Bob Crosostomo of Lefors, and Sally Shelton and husband Hugh of Hereford; seven grandchildren, Phillip Shelton, Dakota Shelton, Matthew Howell and wife Amy, Kristin Chayer and husband Jeff, Dottie Ulrich and husband Jason, Amanda Farquhar and husband Kyle, and Stacie Tosh and husband Grant; six great grandchildren, Cayson Howell, Chesney Howell, Claire Chayer, Caitlin Chayer, Avaleigh Tosh, and Carleigh Tosh; brother, Jim Henry of Perryton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
