Patsy Lou Stewart

August 4, 1935 — May 18, 2025

Pampa

Patsy Lou Stewart, 89, of Pampa, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Pampa with her family by her side.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Ohsfeldt of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements and burial are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Patsy was born on August 4, 1935, in Oswalt Oklahoma to Pauline Frances Parr and Arthur Gene Parr. Patsy attended school in Oklahoma and then later in Pampa where she later graduated from Pampa High School. Patsy married Clent Dale Stewart on October 14, 1955, and they were married 68 years. After marriage Clent was stationed in Fort Sill Oklahoma where Patsy worked on base as a bank teller. After Clent was honorably discharged from the Army, Clent and Patsy returned back home to Pampa to start a family.

Patsy was a homemaker, choosing not to go back to working and choosing to stay home and raise their two daughters. She made sure to attend all rodeos, team ropings, stockshows and sporting events. She later became a timekeeper and a bookkeeper for rodeos and team ropings for her daughters and husband.

She was a very supportive mother and never missed an event. Later she became Granny to her granddaughters and to everyone else that knew her. She enjoyed sewing, reading, watching rodeos, gardening, and attending church. She was excited when she got to be a great grandmother to Easton, and she enjoyed supporting him in stock shows and in football. Granny was a member of the Choctaw Nation and if you knew Granny she was proud to be an Indian. She definitely made sure that all of her family members had their Choctaw cards.

Patsy was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Clent; daughter, Lesa Schafer; son in law Billy Wayne Schafer; two brothers, Gene Parr and Charles Parr.

Patsy is survived by daughter, Lena Lowrey and husband Lee of Pampa; four granddaughters, Katie Schafer and Jesus Perez, Patsy Kincannon and husband Derek of Abra, Lariat Keller and husband Aaron of Pampa, London Lowrey and Ian McMordie of Pampa; three great grandchildren, Easton, Hurli, and Jasper.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Shaunna Lopez and Andrea Silva and all the staff at Interim Hospice and to the floor staff at the Meredith Court for the loving care of Granny.
