Phyllis Mae Elsheimer Harden, 81, of Pampa received ultimate healing on April 1, 2026, in Amarillo at 4:45 in the evening. Those of us who know her believe it was actually at 4:44.
A celebration of her life service will be scheduled at a later date. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael Whatley Funeral Director and Crematory.
Phyllis was born on April 4, 1944, at 4:44 in the morning in Grenola, Kansas to Philip and Elva Elsheimer. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1962. She married Gale Harden in 1964. They are the parents of Randall, born in 1965, and Greg, born in 1968. She and Gale owned and operated Miami Roustabout Service for 45 years. In her retirement she enjoyed playing Pokeno and Bingo with friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and traveling. Phyllis was lovingly known as Nana to her grandchildren, Aunt Babies to her nieces and nephews, and Mean Babies to her great nieces.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, a son, Randall Harden; brother-in-law, Bill Harden; and nephew, Glen Mercer.
She is survived by her husband, Gale of the home; son, Greg Harden and wife Kristi of Pampa; two grandchildren, Karli Harden of Las Vegas, NV and Rhett Harden and wife Kinley of Georgetown, TX; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Poet of Georgetown, TX; sister, Eleanor Mercer and husband Bill of Amarillo; brother, Philip Elsheimer and wife Phyllis of Pampa, bonus daughter, Debbie Murray and husband Harold of Pampa, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
