Richard Craig Horton

Richard Craig Horton, 62, of Pampa, passed away on September 23, 2025, in Pampa.

Currently there are no services scheduled for Craig, Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Craig was born on January 29, 1963, in Pampa to Robert and Annette Horton. He later attended school in Carrollton and attended R. L. Turner High School. After high school, Craig entered the work force. Craig was a man who could learn easily and excelled in several different positions and industries. He primarily worked as a tradesman where he operated forklifts and did HVAC work as well. Craig also took positions at Titan Specialties and with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for several years.

At 20 years old, Craig met and married his soulmate, Beverly, and they shared over 40 years of adventure, traveling, and living in several different places. Craig was a passionate fisherman who loved fishing in his favorite lake or deep-sea fishing. He was also an avid gun collector and enthusiast- Craig knew everything there was to know about guns & ammunition. Above all, Craig was a caring man who loved his wife, family, and friends and he will be missed by all.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Craig is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Beverly Horton of the home; mother, Annette Horton; sister, Jodi Laurich and husband Marty of Amarillo; brother, Terry Horton and wife Donna of Tyler; nieces, Jennifer Laurich of Amarillo, and Terena Horton of Dallas; nephew, Christopher Laurich of Lubbock; and other extended family.
