Ron Heasley, 76, of Pampa, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024 in Amarillo.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Ken McIntosh, interim pastor at First Presbyterian, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.
Ron was born on November 16, 1947 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Herbert and Gertrude Millheim Heasley. He attended school in Pampa and graduated from Pampa High School in 1966. Ron continued his education at West Texas State University and graduated with his degree in 1972. He married Linda Browder on October 12, 1973 at the First Presbyterian Church in Pampa.
Ron worked as a Buyer for National Oilwell Varco until his retirement in May of 2015. He was also a commercial pilot and flight instructor in his early years. Ron was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed spending time at the ranch in Wheeler. Ron also enjoyed visiting with people and never met a stranger.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one niece, Tabitha Pitman; and mother-in-law, Joan Browder.
Ron is survived by his wife, Linda Heasley of the home; son, Matthew Heasley and wife Audra of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; twin sister, Vicki Bhatia and husband Dr. Laxman Bhatia of Colleyville; two brothers, Jerry Heasley of Pampa and Sam Heasley and wife Jacque of Greenbrier, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
