Sharion was born on April 22, 1947, in Pampa to Lonnie and Audrey Powell. She grew up and attended school in Pampa. Following high school, Sharion would start her family, having her two children, Chris and Marcy.

Sharion, for several years, would work as homemaker until she took a leap of faith. While living in Skellytown, Sharion would decide to run for the Carson County Justice of the Peace position. She held and won her election in 1982 and took office in 1983. Sharion would serve her community and county for 20 years before her retirement. Afterwards, in 2004, Sharion would move to the Dallas and Ft. Worth area and settled in Decatur to be closer to her sister, Janis.

Sharion had a spunky spirit and would trade in her signature Cadillac and purchase a truck and RV camper to enjoy her retirement. She and her sister, Janis, loved to travel and have different adventures together whenever they could. She liked to be with family and tried to make all family reunions and get togethers. Sharion also liked to have fun, whether it was going to casinos or playing cards & dominoes at the kitchen table, she was always an enjoyable person to be around. She was also fond of music, it was common for her to have her favorite tunes and artists playing.

Above all, Sharion was a loving and loyal person who was a great judge of character and would support the people she loved with an unwavering commitment. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sharion is survived by her two children, son, Chris Harper and daughter, Marcy Holcomb and husband Shawn; sister and best friend, Janis Mathis; grandchildren, Haylea Meadows and husband Burl, Macie Gillispie, and Bryan Harper and wife Beth; great-grandchildren, Brycen Meadows, Gracie Meadows, Charlotte Meadows, Abigail Harper, Collin Harper, Ian Harper, and Sarah Harper; nephews, Greg Oberdiek, Jeff Mathis and wife Julie; great-nephew, Dax Oberdiek; great-niece, Hazel (Bella) Mathis; and other extended family.
