Sharon Hinton

November 2, 1955 — December 17, 2019

Sharon Ann Hinton, 64, of Pampa passed away December 17, 2019.

Memorial services were held Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Sharon's home with close family and friends.

Sharon was born November 2, 1955 in Lubbock to Frank Allen Newsom and Valerie Richardson-Newsom.  She grew up and attended school in Austin and enrolled in Odessa Junior College graduating with an Associates of Science Degree in Medical Lab Technology.  This is where Sharon met and married Bryce King.  She began her career doing clinical rounds in the ER whilst working in the Hematology Lab.  Later, Sharon began work in Pediatrics which she found as her passion.  Her girls where the most precious thing in life to her.  They were not only her daughters but were her best friends and most trusted confidants.  When Sharon moved to Pampa with her daughter and son-in-law, she became instrumental in calf health and care, using her background in Pediatrics to become the most fitting person to care for the baby bovines.  Sharon was a wonderful mother, beyond compare, a loving grandmother, and a light that shined brightly in everyone's life she touched.  There are no words to express how greatly she will be missed.

Survivors include her daughter; Kali King and husband Josh Sherman of Longmont, Colorado; her daughter Hayley van der Ploeg and husband Bart of Pampa; her four grandchildren Avett Sherman, Wryn Sherman, Davan van der Ploeg and Elowyn van der Ploeg.

She was preceded in death by her father Frank Allen Newsom and her daughter Michelle Elizabeth King.

In honor of Sharon's memory it is the family's desire that memorial contributions be sent to The Safe Alliance, P.O Box 19454, Austin, Texas 78760 or online at safeaustin.org/supporthealing

Her life is celebrated by those closest to her.  She has gone to her Forever home to be with her Forever Father.  As she would always say, "If I go before you do, I'll see you at Suppertime."

We’ll see you at Suppertime Mama.  You are Dearly Beloved.
