Stephanie Hext, 45, of Pampa, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, in Pampa.

Services are pending at this time. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors and Crematory.

Stephanie was born on August 17, 1977, in Pampa, to Derrell Hext and Sandy Rogers. She grew up in Pampa and attended Pampa High School. Stephanie was a kind and caring person. She loved her family and friends dearly and would do what she could for every one of them. She also loved animals, especially her pet, Little Girl Dog. Stephanie will be missed by so many.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her mother; son, Jacob Hext; her grandparents, Nanny, Jeri, and Rex and Pat Britton; uncles, Tommy Bowers and Randy Britton; and close friend, Charlie Mears.

She is survived by her daughter, Makiya Mears of Stinnett; father, Derrel Hext of Amarillo; three grandchildren; stepmother, Jeannie Fowner; sister, Shelby Brown; brother, Coby Lynn Hext; three aunts, Pam Bowers, Shelly Britton and huband David Bolch, and Neta Britton; uncle, Alan Cloud and wife Cel; cousins, Ryan Cloud and wife Holly, Jeff Cloud and wife Katie; Clay Britton, Brad Britton, Brandi Troutner, Gary Troutner, Cody Hext, Dave Hext, and Rance Hext; and close friend, Potter.
